Retainers and Splints
After the Aligner or brackets treatment, the braces give way to the retention phase.
To maintain the long-lasting result, we recommend a night retainer. An Aligner worn over the teeth at night. In the first 6 months we recommend that you wear the night brace every night so that your teeth remain in the position achieved with the Aligner treatment. After the 6 months, build up wearing the night brace to 4 nights a week. Comfort is key: the night retainer should never be tight or inconvenient. In case of discomfort, feel free to stop by for an appointment.
A splint is a wire that attaches to the back of your teeth, near the upper and lower 6 teeth. It sometimes happens that the metal splint comes loose and gets in your way inconveniently, if this is the case please contact us immediately to fix it.
Should something unexpected occur, despite all protection, we will stay by your side. Do not hesitate to make an appointment to discuss the situation, as our commitment will always be there.

INTAKE
For the creation of a splint or retainer, we go digital. With scans and photographs, we capture the current state of your teeth in clear images. This information ensures that a custom-made splint or night brace / retainer will fit your smile flawlessly.

GETTING STARTED
The splint or night brace / retainer will be applied to you, the specialist will still tell you how to maintain it to have a lot of fun with it. Use a night brace to maintain your smile.

CHECK-UPS
After 3 and 6 months, it is time for a splint or night brace evaluation. After those steps, your own dentist can take over the reigns during the semi-annual checkups. Together, we go for a smile that stands the test of time.
