BRACKETS
My splint broke, but my braces were placed elsewhere. Can it be repaired at your place?
Unfortunately we cannot offer this service, the splint will be able to come loose more often. However, we do offer retainers for the night.
Can I make a no-obligation appointment to see if aligners are possible for me?
Aligner treatments are possible for 99% of our clients. Even if you are young(er) or old(er). To get a better idea of treatment duration and costs, you can come in for a comprehensive initial consultation during which we also take scans, photos and X-rays. These are needed to create a personalized plan and provide an appropriate quote.
I started bracket treatment in another country (or another practice). Can my treatment be continued with you?
Chances are you will have to start over with us. After all, braces treatment is part of a personal plan created by a practitioner with a specific goal. Each practitioner is different because they often graduated from different periods and universities. Treatment plans may therefore vary. They may also work with different brands elsewhere than we do. All together, important information is whether we can adopt a treatment.
Will there be attachments (buttons) on my teeth?
Yes, the treatment plan indicates where it is minimally needed, the specialist will ultimately determine what will give the best results for you.
How often should I change my aligners
Every 14 days, sometimes this can be done more regularly even.
Can I eat and drink with my aligners?
Drinking is fine, although it should not be too hot, preferably body temperature. Eating is a little trickier, a lot of food will stick and it doesn’t chew as fine. You should also watch out for dyes such as Turmeric and Saffron and acidic foods.
What is meant by making space between the teeth?
In situations where there is not enough space, teeth can be adjusted slightly by passing a piece of sandpaper between the teeth. This removes a minimal amount of enamel. This will not leave you with sensitive teeth or adverse effects.

What to do if something comes loose:
Call us for a repair appointment or call the emergency line if it is very late and something nasty is stinging your mouth.
Will I get white spots on my teeth or other damage?
If too little cleaning/polishing is done around the clasps then white spots may appear in the enamel, these are often beyond repair.
